Michael grew up in Crosby, Minnesota, where he still lives today. He graduated from Crosby-Ironton High School in 2017. Michael played football and baseball throughout school, as well as a few years of basketball. In his free time Michael enjoys being outdoors, golfing, hunting, fishing, and hiking. He also enjoys working out and watching sports, especially football, baseball, and hockey.

In 2023, Michael graduated from the University of North Dakota with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Within his collegiate schooling, he was able to take additional continuing education classes.

Those include LSVT BIG and Emergency Response for the Athlete, which has been advantageous as he covers Pierz Pioneer athletic events. After graduating from college, he gained a certification in Vestibular and Concussion Rehabilitation through the American Institute of Balance. He has also taken the first of three classes for dry needling certification.

Michael was first introduced to Dynamic in the Fall of 2022. He did a clinical at DTW for his college education because the clinic was close to home, and he has strong familial ties to Pierz. After the first few weeks of the clinical, he knew Dynamic was the place where he wanted to work, because of the way Kelsey believed in the future of his career. As well as being able to work with people of all ages and  backgrounds in the Pierz area.
